Unit powered on and heated up.  The fan ran smoothly.  It seems to be a good working heater.  The cast aluminum element took longer than typical coil element heaters to heat up, but it did warm up to temperature, and I think works in many ways like a radiant heater in that it remains hot well after power is disconnected.
Nice physical condition with normal signs of age and previous use.
Heating capacity is 10,245 BTU/Hr according to a report I found in my research.

According to a 1947 advertisement in Radio Retailing magazine, this heater was designed for use in milk houses (it could be used in many other areas as my research indicated - e.g. store rooms, etc).  Thermostatically equipped for complete automatic control. Heater distributes safe, fan-circulated air, heat free of dust or dirt; no fumes. Resistor is enclosed within a metal tube.  Can be mounted on wall or ceiling if desired.
