The TMX module can be loaded and unloaded with the gripper. Pipetting to the mixer is possible before and after mixing steps. The TMX module is fully software-controlled enabling pipetting on other worktable positions while the mixer is in operation.
TMX mixing is based on Eppendorfs 2DMix-Control technology. Orbital shaking combined with the perfect balance of speed and mixing radius ensure the best stirring results e.g. in resuspending bacteria pellets or beads. The 2DMix-Control eliminates the need for additional centrifugation steps as the orbital shaking prevents droplets collecting on the side of the tube or plate wells.
